Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes to the highest standards.
- Assist the senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of meals.
- Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Monitor and manage inventory and stock levels.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and improve menu offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commis 1 Chef or similar role, specializing in continental cuisine.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
